Our story
Educating Thai Market Participants Since 2017
thongsuka was founded with one clear aim: to make the Stock Exchange of Thailand accessible to adults who had never had the opportunity to engage with equity markets before.
Back to HomeWho we are
A School Built on Patience and Clarity
thongsuka was established in 2017 by a group of finance educators and SET practitioners who noticed a consistent gap in the market: most investment education in Thailand was written for younger professionals, people already working in financial services, or those comfortable with dense technical language.
Adults over 40 — often with decades of professional experience, savings to consider carefully, and time to engage thoughtfully — were largely underserved. The terminology was unfamiliar, the pace of most courses was too fast, and the examples often bore little resemblance to day-to-day Thai market conditions.
We set out to change that. thongsuka's courses use straightforward language, practical Thai market examples, and a structure that allows each learner to build understanding gradually. Our instructors approach every session with the assumption that patience and clarity matter more than speed.
Over eight years we have worked with more than 340 participants across Bangkok and the wider Bangkok Metropolitan Region. Many have taken all three courses in sequence. Others begin with the foundation course and return when they feel ready to go further.
Our Mission
To provide thoughtful, well-structured equity market education that meets adult learners where they are — in language they can follow, at a pace they can sustain, with examples that reflect the Thai market they actually live in.
Our Values
- Clarity over jargon — We explain every term the first time it appears and never assume prior knowledge.
- Patience over pace — Reflection time is built into every course. Understanding matters more than completion speed.
- Relevance over abstraction — Every example draws from Thai market conditions, SET-listed companies, and real historical data.
- Support over independence — Instructors are accessible. Questions are welcomed before, during, and after sessions.

How we maintain our standards
Quality, Privacy & Professional Conduct
Data Privacy
Participant information is handled in accordance with Thailand's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). We collect only what is necessary and never share it with third parties for commercial purposes.
Instructor Credentials
All instructors hold relevant qualifications from Thai financial regulatory bodies and maintain ongoing professional development in line with SEC Thailand standards.
Accurate Materials
Course content is reviewed and updated at each new intake to reflect current SET conditions and any regulatory changes from the SEC Thailand or the Stock Exchange of Thailand.
Participant Feedback
We collect structured feedback after every course and use it to improve materials, session timing, and instructor delivery. Participants are actively encouraged to share their experience.
Ethical Instruction
Our instructors do not provide personal investment advice or recommend specific securities. The courses equip learners with frameworks and knowledge, and all financial decisions remain the participant's own.
Clear Communication
We communicate enrollment details, session schedules, and policy information clearly before participants commit. There are no hidden conditions or unexpected terms after enrollment.
Equity Market Instruction Rooted in the Thai Context
The Stock Exchange of Thailand operates within a distinct regulatory environment overseen by the Securities and Exchange Commission Thailand. Thai-listed companies follow specific disclosure requirements, dividend schedules, and corporate governance frameworks that differ from international markets. Understanding these differences is essential to reading Thai equities accurately.
thongsuka's curriculum treats the SET as the primary reference point throughout all three courses. Rather than adapting foreign teaching material for a Thai audience, we build from local conditions outward. Participants engage with actual SET sector classifications, the Thailand Index series, and company reports published under Thai accounting standards.
Adults approaching equity learning after 40 often bring valuable professional and personal experience to the subject. Career backgrounds in property, manufacturing, retail, or public service provide genuine context for understanding sector economics, company operations, and competitive dynamics. thongsuka's instruction acknowledges and draws on that experience rather than treating participants as blank learners.
Our Bangkok location on Sukhumvit allows easy access for participants across central and eastern Bangkok districts, as well as those commuting from surrounding provinces. Live sessions are structured to accommodate participants who balance learning with full professional or family commitments.
